The year started out relaxing and calm but come spring till New Years it was hard to catch my breath! Lots of rehearsals in March and April to get ready for the up coming gigs. Starting in early May the Yellow Brick Road Experience (YBRE) toured the Okanagan with a 50 piece choir, which was a thrill to say the least! All those voices singing along with you….it was powerful and amazing!! I went on to perform in the famed Penticton Elvis Festival where I got to present the Steve Soucy Award for outstanding musician and sang with the Cadillac Queens. YBRE performed and opened the Sun Peaks Music Festival and opened the Peachland Peachfest. It didn’t stop there!! The YBRE toured Vancouver Island and through out Alberta in October. I immediately came home to rehearse and perform in the play Rocky Horror Show at the Mary Irwin Theater. After that show closed I went on to rehearsals for The Christmas Belles play which ran for 5 nights in December at the Black Box Theater. I ended the year with a fun New Years Eve gig with Andrew Johns. What a fantastic year of performing music and plays!! Here’s some pics from this past year!
